Medium Voltage Network Extension and Transformer Station Installation Project

About This Project

As part of this project, steel power towers were installed to replace the old wooden poles, and the electrical network in the town of Madaya was reorganized. Several kilometers of medium voltage cables were extended and connected to a newly equipped transformer station, which was installed with a new power transformer to operate the Wadi Al-Maaysra well on a load-shedding-exempt power line.

The project was implemented in challenging mountainous terrain, and it played a vital role in delivering drinking water to the thirsty neighborhoods of Madaya, effectively ending the prolonged suffering of residents due to water shortages.

The project was carried out under the supervision of Oxfam
